How it Started

Fitness is hard work!

Yes, Fitness is hard work, but when I think about the time it took me to get to the (Left pic) 236Ibs, I think about how hard my life was dealing with depression and anxiety, which led to all kinds of health issues like being a borderline diabetic. Let's not talk about how toxic I was with all relationships, including family and friends.

I started Pearlzz Fitness Journey in 2018 by working with the most complex part of my body and, yes, " the brain" I needed to create some healthy boundaries and healthy habits. Fitness is way more than just picking up a set of dumbbells; Fitness starts with self-love, self-care, working through shit instead of putting it in the back of my mind, and thinking it will all just go away "it didn't " it started to rise to the surface and show through my weight, skin, and hair.

When I started my journey, I started working with a fitness professional; unfortunately, the young lady was lovely. Still, I could tell she wasn't really listening to my needs, I mean like really listening, and she hurt me because she failed to attend. I almost gave up on myself and that's when it dawned on me, I'd go back to school now and how that was going to happen had no clue, but I knew I wanted to help people in my predicament or worse. I didn't grow up being overweight or an athlete, so Fitness was never embedded in my upbringing.

In 2019, Personal Training School was one of the most challenging endeavors I have ever done in my life. Being overweight and deconditioned was the way it started, and today I look back with no regret; the woman in the (left pic) helped make me the woman I am today, the fittest, most robust, oh healthiest did I mention I beat diabetes!!!

Today I am a certified Master ACCSC Personal Trainer and Life and Wellness coach my dreams have officially come true and it's all because I made that decision back in 2018.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my story!
